Now in these days of economic austerity, it will be interesting to see how Bling holds out.

But if you take a look at the phones on offer from Peter Aloisson, then be sure you are either a Russian Oligarch who hasn't lost all his money in the recent stock market crashes, or you happen to be going out with a Russian Oligarch who hasn't lost all his money in the recent stock market crashes.

Let's take a quick look at their version of the Apple iPhone 3G which they call the Kings Button.

Now, just to let you know, these guys spend their time 'Blinging-Up' phones for their well-heeled customers. But don't think a few gold straps, a lick of gold paint and some costume jewelry. This stuff is the business. And they say that each phone is tailor-made to the customer's requirements, meaning that no two phones are alike. And not something you're likely to find down the local market.

Firstly, their Apple iPhone is made from not plastic, but from solid yellow gold (18 carat), white gold and rose gold. And like the icing on a cake, the white gold line is encrusted with the best quality cut diamonds, a total of 138 sparklers altogether. For those of you that know your diamonds, they are best quality with colour F.

But the crème de la crème on this phone is the jewel which sits on the phone's home button: a rare 6.6 carat beauty they say. And, they claim, it has a history. Whether that means its been a bad boy, or has a few outstanding parking fines, this writer isn't sure, but perhaps they'll tell you.

Now we come to the price. Most of the phones on the site have that lovely expression, price on request, and that usually means if you have to ask, you can't afford it.

But next to their Apple iPhone is a strange collection of numbers which relate to the Euro price: 1.790.000,00. Not familiar with how euros are written down, this is puzzling at first. Maybe it's a rounded-up two euros, or, help, nearly 2,000 euros. Now, at the time of writing, one euro is basically one pound sterling, so that's quite a lot for an iPhone. But, after a bit of research, it seems that that row of figures with all those noughts, is actually one million, seven hundred and ninety euros, which is roughly £1.8m, or $2.5m; for an iPhone! That's some price ticket for a mobile phone, diamond encrusted or not.

And get this, that price is net, so doesn't include VAT. So you're actually talking £2.1m. Mind you, they do say the cost for transportation and insurance is included. I should blum'in well think so. In fact, for that money, I would want mine delivered by executive jet; no Parcel Force van for me.

The depressing thing is, that most U.K. lottery wins aren't for much more than £2m. So think about this, you win the lottery and you buy yourself a mobile. Great!
